Fueled by Little Things

As cliched as it sounds, it’s the little things in life that can sometimes fill our heart and soul with purpose and warmth. Sometimes people (myself included) can get so caught up on the big goals and major shifts happening and that we want to happen, that we forget or ignore the little moments throughout each day that can inspire and fuel us.

Today I published an article on Medium about a subject I’ve been meditating on for quite some time, but only recently have words come through to express these thoughts.

I encourage everyone to check it out if you feel like it by either clicking on the link above or here…

Remember to Play

As kids, it was a staple of our lives. Somewhere, for many adults, playing slowly fades perhaps due to increasing pressures of the “adult world.” But it is important we remember to play once in a while, to nourish that inner child through dance, toys, art, imagination, music and maybe even doing nothing.

Play allows the mind to relax while simultaneously growing and moving through & releasing many things, perhaps even a few subconscious thoughts & feelings.

The awesome, inspiring folks over at Enlightenment is Sexy have published some more thoughts of mine about the not so subtle differences between frustration and negativity.

Serious Life

The serious life is bittersweet. Some people seem to think that those who joke all the time don’t take life seriously, as if jokes are something frivolous or an amusing party trick. Perhaps to some people they are, but the power of laughter is prevalent throughout the world. Not only is the physical act of laughing something that is healthy for mind and body, but some jokes are able to cut to the core of certain things perhaps others hold sacred, or maybe some jokes reveal more about the people laughing. Jokes are a powerful tool.

Just ask John Lennon.

Laughing is a powerful tool.

John Lennon on violence and humor.
